Why a pickleball group at a Sandals resort?
Sandals resorts provide the highest number of courts in the Caribbean, and they have the only USA Pickleball approved coaches on staff at every resort. They provide morning refreshments and misters to keep you cool during play, and they can provide a mix of recreational, clinic, and tournament play.
What if my partner doesn't play?
Not to worry! Many couples join these trips with only one pickleball player. While one partner is on the courts, the other can enjoy the beach, pools, spa, restaurants, entertainment, and everything the resort has to offer. It's the perfect combination of pickleball and a Caribbean vacation.
What skill levels are welcome?
All skill levels are welcome! Play and instruction is organized by level, and coaching is included with our traveling coach, so newer players and more experienced players alike can up their game. For more in-depth coaching, Sandals offers their instructors for a fee. And even if you've never played before, Sandals offers weekly complimentary "Intro to Pickleball" group sessions (40 minutes), perfect for beginners!
How much pickleball will there be?
Our group will have blocked courts in the first few hours of the morning for organized play and instruction. Open play is available all day (though it's usually too warm to play late morning and through the afternoon). There is also open play in the evening, since the courts are lit. So there's plenty of court time, while still leaving lots of free time to enjoy your vacation with all that Sandals has to offer.
Is this trip focused only on pickleball?
Not at all, and it's important to realize this is not a "pickleball clinic." These Sandals pickleball group getaways are designed to combine pickleball, relaxation, socializing, and the experience of staying at their beautiful all-inclusive Caribbean resorts.
Will there be pickleball instruction available?
Yes! Guests in our groups will have access to organized play and instruction with our experienced, traveling pickleball instructor, at no extra charge. In addition, guests can use Sandals' pro instructors for an additional fee.
Why book with a hosted pickleball group instead of booking the resort on my own?
The biggest difference is sharing the experience with like-skilled guests staying during the same time frame. Together, you'll enjoy the organized play, coaching, reserved court time, and the chance to connect with fellow pickleball enthusiasts throughout your stay, for pickleball as well as all the other experiences the resort has to offer. Everything is coordinated for you, so all you need to do is show up and enjoy the vacation.
What is included?
Your package includes your transfers from the airport to the resort and back, your accommodations, all meals, beverages (drinks and alcohol), full resort amenities (stunning pools, land and water sports, spa, fitness center), and the hosted pickleball experience. Is airfare included?
Airfare is not included in the pricing we give you. And while we do not book the flights for you with this special group pricing, if you need help with flights, just ask, and we are happy to give you guidance for booking flights yourself.
